We created this premium beer for sharing with friends in our favourite part of New Zealand. With a great climate and great people, there’s no better place to enjoy this refreshing lifestyle lager.
Freshly batch brewed using water, hops, malt and yeast only, we're very proud of our smooth and subtle taste. No cane sugar, no preservatives, no colour, no junk. Just pure natural beer that's easy on the palate, and gentle the morning after. We made this beer for ourselves; as it turns out, a few others liked it too.
Our beer is packed in a distinctive natural cardboard box of 9. We think 9 is a good number; good for a barbeque, good for dinner at a mates place, good for the cricket and great for summer. It fits nicely in the fridge vege-bin too, although we are unsure if Matakana Lager is a suitable vegetable substitute.
Mata-where? We love this place, it is probably the best place on the planet to live, work, make wine, surf, fish, eat and drink at the same time. We're very proud to be part of this community, and were thrilled to win a Bronze medal with our first entry into New Zealand's premier beer awards. It confirms we're on the right track, and lets people know where we are.
